Manitoba Garage Door started out over a decade ago, working with other companies. Many of them would sell our services and take our rates, mark them up, then sub-contract back to us. Their was a high markup on materials, because clients were forced to get from only a few of these large companies that basically controlled the market with manufacturer exclusivity, which resulted in significantly higher prices, and significantly less choices for the consumer.
We decided that Manitoba needed a better alternative. First we broke open the market with many new and better products, with more styles, more colors, and longer warranties. Then, by taking the middleman out of the equation, allowing clients to work directly with us, the technicians that were actually doing the work, we changed the overhead door landscape forever. When Manitoba Garage Door came on the scene, we rocked the industry to the core. No more price fixing greedily drive up prices, offering little to no warranty, and selling lower quality products at higher prices due to lack of option. -Our doors are the most stylish. From traditional up to fully custom. We have over 24+ panel designs, 22+ window designs, 12+ colors options, plus custom painting, decorative hardware etc. We don’t just have a door for your home we have the RIGHT door for your home.
-Our Doors are built tough (No cheap vinyl/cardboard), with steel skins inside and out, heavy duty springs, heavy gauge cables, bearings, operator plates, and up to a 2” thick R19.4 Polyurethane insulation. No pressed paper “insulation” or cardboard backing, plastic drums, or flimsy metal here! Our doors are built to last a lifetime
-We source nearly all of our product though Canadian manufacturers, or distributors, and only sell products designed for our unique Manitoba Climate. Some items are not manufactured anywhere in Canada, like certain styles of door panels, in which case we will still match it up with Canadian made hardware, bearing plates etc, so as much money stays in our economy as possible.
-Higher R-Values standard. We don’t believe the bare minimum is acceptable for our climate, and temperature range. Even our non-insulated doors come with a full perimeter weather-stripping kit to seal out the elements, and our insulated doors are built with heavy duty steel skins inside and out.
– Our doors are greener. Our doors are CFC and HCFC free, and pose no risk to the ozone layer or climate change. Also everything is shipped manufacturer direct, saving travel and fuel. We also break down all the old doors and send all recyclable materials to their respective depots to keep resources out of landfills
– We keep many doors and sizes in stock, unusual sizes included. If your job requires something more unique, we can also custom make, or quick order to your site specific requirements in custom widths, heights, styles, and over 600 colors. We also offer full custom wood doors. Modern glass doors, etc.
-All our ad photos are authentically ours. We don’t use stock photos from the manufacturers, because we believe showing local doors is more valuable, then showing what some other company, in some other city have done.

-Our prices are usually 10-40% less than our competitors. Even when they have scratch and dent door sales to get rid of their beat up doors, the installed cost is usually $200-600 more than our brand new prices, and we let you pick the style and color!
-Its cheaper to do things right, then to do them over. Their is a good chance you have heard us say these words, as they are a key moto and guiding principle of our company. We don’t sub to who ever is cheapest, all our techs are full time employees, because quality control is much higher. We don’t delete parts to save money up front, while guaranteeing plenty of service work in the future, and we wont ever cut corners to sell a door. Plenty of other companies are happy to do this, and in the end it results in unhappy clients, money down the drain, and having to do it all over anyway. This moto stands true for us as well. If we need to spend money on fuel and labour, to warranty repair something because we didn’t include a $75 brace, not only would the is the client be unhappy, but it would have cost us more then doing it correctly from the start. So, we just always include them on every single door we install. Simple, and smart. Its ALWAYS cheaper to do it right, then to do it over.
-We don’t charge by the hour, we charge by the complete job. This means you know before we start exactly what it will cost and aren’t writing a blank cheque.
-We will only offer you the best parts in any given price range. We won’t sell you an inferior product because the profit margin may be higher, we will ALWAYS get you the best parts for the job.
-No middle man! We buy most products manufacturer direct. This means we are usually 25-30% cheaper for the exact same or better materials.
-We pay the PST! When we repair or replace your overhead doors, we pay the PST which keeping your total bill lower, while giving you more!
-With all new door installations, we include FREE removal and disposal of old doors and hardware, a service that most other companies charge $120-200 extra for. We also reconnect and tune existing openers to run properly with the new door if you have one you want to keep, and we do this for FREE, not the $35 the other guys charge.
